Our promise when children use our software
A meaningful share of our work reaches children. These are the commitments we hold ourselves to - in our own apps, and in the apps we build for partner organisations targeted at learners under 18.
No advertising to children
Apps from Conda Technology that are directed at or knowingly used by children do not display behavioural advertising, interest-based advertising, or remarketing of any kind to those children. Where we serve any advertising at all in child-directed contexts, we use only Google Play Families self-certified ad partners and contextual ads.
No persistent identifiers from children
Our child-directed apps do not transmit Android Advertising ID (AAID), IMEI, IMSI, MAC address, SIM serial, SSID, BSSID or any other persistent device identifier from child users. Where we need a stable identifier for product functionality, we use an opaque per-install identifier that cannot be used for cross-service tracking.
No precise location from children
Apps that target children do not request, collect or transmit precise location data.
Age-appropriate design
Interfaces, language, animation, audio and content in our child-directed products are reviewed against the youngest age group declared for each product. We follow Google Play's Teacher Approved guidance on age-appropriate content, ad behaviour and in-app purchase gating.
Parental & school controls
Where our apps include social, communication or content-exchange features, those features are gated behind clear adult-action mechanisms. School and parent administrators get the controls they need to manage, review and remove learner data.
Data deletion on request
Parents, guardians and schools can request review or deletion of a child's personal data at any time by emailing info@condatechnology.co.za or by visiting our Account & Data Deletion page. We respond within 30 days.
Standards we comply with
We design our products to comply with the Google Play Families policies, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, United States), GDPR Article 8 (children's consent, European Union), and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA, South Africa).
